I am an experienced doula who trained at the Doula Training Academy, under the guidance of Vicki Hobbs. I have since gone on to support birthing mothers at home, in the Family Birth Centre and in standard hospital settings.
I am the mother of three beautiful children, Luca, Matteo and Emmi, and have personally experienced three very different but positive births, each with important lessons to learn & opportunities to grow.
As a professional Ballet and Pilates teacher I have always had a huge appreciation for the human body, but it was after the birth of my second son that I was inspired to go down the path of becoming a birth worker.
I have a deep love and appreciation for mothers, and aim to support women in birthing fearlessly, with trust and belief in their body’s ability to birth their baby.
Originally from South Africa, I have been living in Perth for the last seven years.
I am a calm, positive and grounded person and aim to nurture you while you make informed choices that best support your unique birth.
As your Doula, I will work in harmony with both physiological and medicalised birth, providing non-judgemental evidence-based information as well as continuous personalised one on one support so you can feel heard, respected and cared for at all times.
The way a woman feels about the birth of her child and the way she is treated during labour can and will have an enormous effect on her postpartum experience. The opportunity to have a positive impact on this pivotal moment in a mother’s life is at the heart of why I chose to become a doula. I would be honoured to be a part of your journey.
My name is Tanith Forte and I have completed extensive training at the Doula Training Academy with Vicki Hobbs.
