My name is Kirsty, in the beautiful Perth Hilla, and I would be honoured to be your birth & postpartum Doula.
I am thrilled you have found my little corner of love and support for Mothers and their partners on the transformative journey that is all things birth. As your Doula I am your continuity of care, your anchor as you ride the waves of pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Nothing would make my heart sing more than being able to walk alongside you during this time. Sharing my knowledge with you and getting to know you both creates a ring of trust and safety that will be carried on into the birth space and beyond. I am here to listen to your deepest desires when it comes to your birth experience, providing you with the latest evidence-based research, offering you the best techniques and tools from my doula kit along with wholesome and holistic nurturing to ensure that you are feeling nourished, composed and held during this time. I am here to honour and support your decisions every step of the way.
My mission as a doula is to show you your power so you can journey through the portal from maiden to mother with confidence, trust and strength. Ensuring I share my wisdom and knowledge throughout this journey. But, most importantly, creating a relationship of faith and love shows you that you have all you need within you. I want to help rebuild the village there once was for birthing women, holding them, nourishing them and allowing them to trust in their bodies and their baby. Women should feel seen, heard and respected from conception through pregnancy, birth and beyond. I want to ensure that this sacred rite of passage is back in the hands of the mother so she is able to make informed decisions during her birth experience and have autonomy over her birth. I long for women to trust in themselves and physiological birth. When women take back their power and allow themselves to channel their inner wild woman, and when society steps back and allows a woman to give birth, we will see what it is like to give life. When a baby is born, so is a mother.
If you feel there is a missing link in your birth & postpartum team, I would love to complete the chain! As a Doula, I always ensure I am up to date with my resources and library, ready to share with you when needed. When it comes to pregnancy, birth and postpartum, I make sure that your comforts and needs are met in a professional and caring way. I have some fantastic tools like the Rebozo, Birth Sling, Acupressure points, comfort measures for all different stages of labour, delicious and nourishing foods postpartum and a lot of deep love and respect for you and your partner. I understand that it can be overwhelming to decide who to invite into your birth space. I am always here for a phone chat or a cuppa to answer any queries you may have.
